A.
NewStream’s “Profile Form” – your quick and vital summary
If you can certify through laboratory analysis that that your wastewater is non-hazardous, or that your used oil meets specification used oil fuel (SUOF) parameters, fax or email a copy of the appropriate Profile Form (for Oil: “MA97” form; for WW: “MA99” form).
Forms are available for download here
.
If yours will be a new account, please submit confidential
Credit Application
, also available on our web site.
B.
Laboratory Analysis – what we need and why we need it
For wastewater (MA99), our permit requires certified laboratory analytical that may include volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), metals, flashpoint, pH, and/or other analyses to confirm that it is a non-hazardous waste stream. If obtaining analytical from a MA-certified laboratory is not practicable, you may provide a letter from a MA Licensed Site Professional (LSP) or a MA-registered Professional Engineer certifying that the waste stream is non-hazardous in accordance with 310 CMR 30.000.
For Used Oil (MA97), our permit requires that we obtain EITHER laboratory analysis confirming that the used oil meets the specification used oil fuel (SUOF) parameters of the Massachusetts regulations (see table on attached profile form) or a certification from a MA LSP that the origin of the oil is from a fuel spill that would meet the spec parameters. (See our
profile forms
for details.)
If no analytical report is currently available, NewStream is pleased to arrange for laboratory testing; or you may choose to obtain the data yourself. To confirm the SUOF parameters, the oil must be analyzed for metals, halogens and flash point.
C.
Representative Sample – requirements
Profiles require at least a 1-gallon treatability sample for non-hazardous industrial wastewater, or analysis of a representative sample for spec used oil fuel. No sample yet? Call us and we can assist!
